Born in Sri Lanka, 1974; raised in West Africa 1980-1988; Canadian since.
I see myself as a child of circumstance and the oil era; when my parents who were both teachers managed to move their family from Sri Lanka to Canada by teaching in Nigeria.
The variety and wealth of experience from my immersive periods in various cultures, makes me uniquely Canadian.
As a photographer / visual person, I try to express my ideas using a palette of collaborators including musicians, visual artists, art directors, film makers, designers, stylists, makeup-artists and muses.
Having to write my bio makes me feel like a narcissist .
